Celebrating spring in a sustainable way

At iUsed, we sell refurbished Apple products. Perhaps the term “refurbished” needs further introduction. Refurbishing products means not only cleaning and sanitizing the device, but also checking the hardware. In our warehouse, our technical specialists check whether, for example, the camera is still working properly. If necessary, parts are replaced and the device repaired. After the device has been technically repaired, it can be sold again. The product then enters its second life.

Refurbishing or reconditioning equipment contributes to the circular economy. This is because we allow materials to circulate in our society. Instead of throwing materials or products in the garbage, materials and/or products are reused. Reusing a product immediately is much more beneficial to the environment. With product reconditioning, we ensure that the cycle is slowed down. Materials and products are given a longer life and this is good for the environment. Fewer new raw materials need to be extracted, which reduces C02 emissions.

In a sustainable way, celebrate Spring together!

Because of corona, it is a hard time for many people. That’s why we wanted to do something positive! Of course, we are sitting at home a lot right now and we thought it would be nice to brighten up this very place. Now that Spring has also started, we thought it was perfect timing to hand out flower seeds to our customers. We also wanted to give a nice message to our customers and quickly came across growing paper. This paper contains flower seeds that you can sow in your own garden or on your balcony and you can also print a nice message on it. All this is also incredibly sustainable!

With growing paper you don’t leave any waste behind, as is the case with many other types of paper. So this totally fits with our vision of reusing materials and products! The paper is also printed with biodegradable ink. We specifically chose seeds from wild flowers. These flowers mainly attract beneficial insects such as bees and butterflies. These insects have had a hard time in the Netherlands for some time now and their numbers are decreasing every year. We would like to see this change, because we desperately need these insects! Bees pollinate flowers of fruit trees so that we can eat delicious sweet apples every year.

High quality growing paper

Growingpaper is incredibly beautiful and soft to the touch. The ink also comes out well. The colors are not at all dull, but rather bright and clear! When the growing paper is planted correctly, beautiful flowers grow from it. In addition, the contact with Growingpaper was super pleasant. They responded quickly to questions and really thought along with us. We would definitely order from Growingpaper more often in the future.
